My Approach

Elizabeth Diaz is a bi-lingual seasoned therapist whose therapeutic approach is grounded in a diverse range of modalities to cater to the unique needs of her clients. Drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Counseling, Elizabeth tailors her methods to create a holistic and client-centered experience. Specializing in working with children, adolescents, and adults, Elizabeth’s expertise extends to a broad client population. Her commitment to inclusivity is evident as she welcomes individuals from diverse ethnicities, cultures, and religious backgrounds. Moreover, Elizabeth is a dedicated ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, fostering a safe and supportive space for individuals within this community to explore and navigate their therapeutic journey. With a compassionate and inclusive approach, Elizabeth Diaz is dedicated to empowering her clients to achieve positive and sustainable mental health outcomes.


Elizabeth Diaz holds Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with specialization in philosophy, from St. Thomas University and Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Elizabeth is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Virginia, Florida, Utah, & New Hampshire. She has been facilitating psychoeducational groups as well as providing individual, group, and couples counseling since 2014. Elizabeth has worked within multidisciplinary teams in various settings including, inpatient hospitalization, PHP & IOP treatment, outpatient treatment within the Virginia Community Services Board, and private practice. She works with individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, life transitions, and working closely with the LGBTIQ+ clients in various capacities.
